Myofascial Release in Ocala, FL
Customized Session with Anna Griffin, LMT
Fascia is the thin web of connective tissue that wraps every muscle, organ, and bone in the body. When it is healthy, it is smooth and mobile. When it is restricted, from injury, scar tissue, postural habits, or simply not moving enough, it pulls and limits everything around it. You can feel it as stiffness that does not release, as pain that shows up far from where the restriction actually is, or as the sense that something just will not unwind no matter how much you stretch.
Myofascial release works directly on those restrictions. Instead of stroking across muscle, Anna applies slow, sustained pressure into specific tissue, holds it, and waits for the fascia to soften and lengthen. The pressure is rarely heavy. The change is structural.
Why this work matters
Anna formal dance training informs how she reads the body in motion, and fascia is the layer that most directly governs how freely the body moves. After release work, clients often describe a sense of being taller, looser, or unstuck, a feeling that range of motion has come back to places it had quietly left.
Myofascial release pairs well with deep tissue and assisted stretching, and Anna will often combine them in the same session when restriction patterns call for it.
